Biopinix, LLC is at the forefront of innovative storytelling, bridging the gap between technology and personal history through our unique service, Living History Studios™. Our mission is to empower individuals by providing dynamic tools that allow them to preserve and share their life stories in engaging ways.

The name ‘Biopinix’ itself is derived from Latin, with “bio” meaning life, and “pingere” meaning to make a picture. This reflects our commitment to transforming life stories into vivid, memorable narratives.

The Beginnings of Living History Studios™

The seeds of Living History Studios™ were planted during a pivotal moment in 2001 at the Mesa Family History Center. There, our founder, Joseph Jensen, had a conversation with a frustrated patron, who desired a map with “cows in the pasture and smoke coming out of the chimneys”. This inspired his vision of using game technology to transform family histories into rich, immersive experiences and laid the groundwork for a remarkable journey.

From Concept to Creation

By January 2005, the concept had evolved into a place you could go to be interviewed by “friendly agents” who would assist in digitizing media and crafting your stories into a customized DVD. Participation in a business plan competition at Arizona State University in Fall 2006 marked a significant step forward, even as initial investor discussions did not yield the desired results. The years following witnessed a solo development phase, filled with challenges but also invaluable mentorship, leading to pivots and adaptations in the approach. Notably, attempts to create an interactive family history game platform in Unity in 2018 faced technical and financial hurdles, yet fueled further innovation.

The Evolution to Biopinix

In 2021, a transformative shift occurred with the development of Biopinix Canvas, a tool designed for journaling and crafting memoirs. The years that followed were marked by rapid growth and adaptation, evolving into the development of Journadex—a powerful journal navigation tool—through the capabilities of generative AI and ChatGPT.

By November 2023, Biopinix, LLC was officially registered, introducing groundbreaking AI innovations like the Biopinix Book Builder (a custom GPT) redefining how personal stories are captured and shared.

In October 2025, our founder discovered Lovable, and used it to rebuild the dream of a place people can go to share their family stories with friendly agents and create timeless treasures to share with their family for generations - now made possible with the power of generative AI. He named it Living History Studios, and published it in May 2026 using the domain name he had registered 20 years before.
